Today started off like any normal summer day. I woke up at around 2 p.m. and my friend Abel asked what I was doing. "Nothing much, not too busy". Long story short, we walked a few miles into town and decided to eat at a nice little Japanese steak house, Asuka's.
It's a pretty simple Japanese eatery. They do add some thrills to make things feel more "Authentic" Japanese. The seating is pretty comfortable but the music was my only complaint. Switching constantly between Japanese and American pop music, which was played a little too loud for my liking but hey, there might be a guy in the restaurant who doesn't want to hear his wife bitch about why they couldn't go to Logan's or why the food is taking so long.

Very Beautiful fountain and Koi pond
We sat down and the hostess asked us what we wanted to drink. Run of the mill hostess questions. We both ordered water and later a female waitress asked what we would like to order. I had originally planned to eat some of their Chicken Karaage. I had heard good things but we decided to order the Pickled Radish Roll and the Spicy Tuna Roll. Both were pretty great; The quality of the sushi was pretty surprising for an American sushi joint. I also surprise ordered a Crunch Shrimp Roll for my friend and I.

Thumb of Approval
We decided to end the meal with an Anko Bean Ice Cream that they make so wonderfully. I had brought my girlfriend here previously and she absolutely fell in love with it.

So wonderful. I wish I had some in the freezer.

It seems Abel has fallen in love too
Overall this Restaurant does things simply. They take what they know and they do it well. They dish out delicious food for a reasonable price. I love this restaurant and they definitely have my business. Hopefully you will give this quaint but amazing Japanese Steakhouse a try yourself.
